(1-8) All 8 Circle L & R

(9-12) LH turn corner

(13-16) Face ptnr, set & petronella to cross formation [Ladies back-to-back in centre]

(1-16) Interlocking reels of 4.   

(1-2) All  ½ RH turn ptnr

(3-4) Men LH star ½ WHILE ladies set on outside.

(5-6) All ½ RH turn opposite

(7-8) Ladies ½ LH star WHILE men set on outside.

(9-16) Repeat to starting places

B1:

(1-4) Set to ptnr, petronella to square formation IMPROPER  (5-8) LH turn original ptnr [face nbr]

(9-12) Grand chain 4 hands [nbr RH start, this is your new ptnr]

(13-16) RH turn nbr to put ladies in for LH Star

B2:

(1-4)Ladies LH star

(5-8) Men RH turn new ptnr.

(9-12) Back-to-back ptnr

(14-16) Promenade this ptnr to man’s home place

​Teaching Points:

The main point which can cause confusion is that, after the petronella in B2 which takes you back to your square formation, you are improper. As long as dancers don’t panic at this point, everything else should be fine. The grand chain in B1 is quick, 1 bar per change.
